Inspect, Inspect, Inspect!
Within regular interval of time, inspect overall surface condition of your tennis court. Examine for peelings at the surface, cracks, color fading etc. Importantly, during winter during winter, take measures that water may not reach to your tennis court and in summer, too much sunlight as it may damage the surface completely. In summer, fading and peeling seems very much however, in winter and rainy season puffiness of surface dominates. If you are seeing these or any of these symptoms, recoating is better option, but before doing re-coating you must consult your Sport Court vendor. For flooring, flood the tennis court area with water to test the puddle on the floor. If there happens any puddles after 1 hour contact of sport court with water then it should be repaired on top priority. Binder mixes are available in market to get this done.

Resurfacing Time: Though, resurfacing mainly depends on the maintenance of the tennis court. For low maintenance, it needs to be done within a year or two. However, in ideal condition of maintenance, resurfacing id needed after 5-6 years duration. Full asphalt overlay can also happen in resurfacing process with minimum of color finish using recoating.

Cracks: Cracks are the most common symptom on any tennis court flooring. Use of asphalt in court flooring mostly generates more cracks. Outdoor floorings are most suffered to these because of high exposure to environmental parameters like humidity, sunlight.  Expansion and contraction also happen because of this. However, poor asphalt mixture during resurfacing process, reduced site conditions, poor construction may result in cracks. Though cracks are odd to repair, they can be done by filling it with sufficient amount of acrylic based crack repair mix solutions. Using cold or hot application solutions can be of risk, so please avoid using them.

Tennis court resurfacing is not merely painting a tennis court with certain colors. Instead, it is something that involves lengthy technical procedure. The coating is done four to five times to give the court immunity against all environmental factors thereby giving long life to the tennis court.
